This 13 pin electric wiring kit from TowTec is made specifically for your BMW 5 Touring . The operation of this 13-pin electrical kit is very simple: It is detected by the data bus system in your BMW 5 Touring and is ready for operation after the vehicle has been coded for trailer operation. From now on, the electrical kit will inform you via the car's own system if the trailer lights are faulty.
A shutdown of the factory-installed parking assist function of your BMW 5 Touring is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module electrical kit. The socket of the electrical kit is already connected. It is therefore not required to connect each cable to the trailer socket.
The socket is connected with pin 9 to the steady plus. Extend pin 10 with accessory 139243 to charge a battery in your trailer.
