This 13 pin TowTec wiring kit is made specifically for your VW PASSAT B8. After the 13-pin electrical kit is integrated in the data bus system of your VW PASSAT B8, it reliably signals faulty trailer lights through the car's own system. The vehicle must be configured for trailer operation after the electrical kit has been installed.
A shutdown of the factory-installed parking assist function of your VW PASSAT B8 is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module electrical kit. Included in this kit: high-quality, vehicle-specific colour-coded plug connectors, custom cable lengths and a detailed VW PASSAT B8 installation manual. No need to drill into the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet already exists on your VW PASSAT B8 . It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin electrical kit.
The trailer socket is already connected with pin 9 to the permanent positive current function. It is possible to extend pin 10 with accessory 139243 to charge the trailer battery.
