This 13 pin TowTec wiring kit is made specifically for your VW ID.5. The operation of this 13-pin electrical kit is very simple: It is detected by the data bus system in your VW ID.5 and is ready for operation after the vehicle has been coded for trailer operation. From now on, the electrical kit will inform you via the car's own system if the trailer lights are faulty.
A shutdown of the factory-installed parking assist function of your VW ID.5 is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module electrical kit. High-quality, vehicle-specific plug connectors, colour coding, custom cable lengths and a detailed ID.5 ID.5 installation manual are all part of this wiring kit. No drilling in the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet is already present on your VW ID.5. It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin kit.
The trailer socket is already connected with pin 9 to the permanent positive current function. It is possible to extend pin 10 with accessory 139243 to charge the trailer battery.
