This 13 pin TowTec wiring kit is made specifically for your MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS Convertible. This 13-pin electrical kit connects to the existing data bus system in your MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS Convertible . Faulty trailer lights will be indicated by the car's own system. After installation of this electrical kit, the car needs to be coded for trailer use.
An automatic deactivation of the parking assist function of your MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS Convertible is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module electrical kit. Included in this kit: high-quality, vehicle-specific colour-coded plug connectors, custom cable lengths and a detailed MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS Convertible installation manual. This electrical kit is installed in the boot only. A continuous current connection (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit must be available in the rear of the car. No need to drill into the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet already exists on your MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS Convertible . It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin electrical kit. The socket of the electrical kit is already connected. It is therefore not required to connect each cable to the trailer socket.
The trailer socket is already connected with pin 9 to the permanent positive current function. It is possible to extend pin 10 with accessory 139243 to charge the trailer battery.
