This 13 pin TowTec wiring kit is made specifically for your MERCEDES-BENZ S-CLASS. After the 13-pin electrical kit is integrated in the data bus system of your MERCEDES-BENZ S-CLASS, it reliably signals faulty trailer lights through the car's own system. The vehicle must be configured for trailer operation after the electrical kit has been installed.

An automatic deactivation of the parking assist function of your MERCEDES-BENZ S-CLASS is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module electrical kit. High-quality, vehicle-specific plug connectors, colour coding, custom cable lengths and a detailed S-CLASS S-CLASS installation manual are all part of this wiring kit. This electrical kit is installed in the boot only. A continuous current connection (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit must be available in the rear of the car. No need to drill into the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet already exists on your MERCEDES-BENZ S-CLASS . It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin electrical kit. The socket of the electrical kit is already connected. It is therefore not required to connect each cable to the trailer socket.

It is possible to extend pin 9 of the trailer socket to steady plus (to power electric items in the trailer) or pin 9 to steady plus and pin 10 to charge (e.g. a separate battery in the trailer) by adding the extension set 107650. A combinet retrofit solution for steady plus and charge 139243 is available separately.
