This 13 pin TowTec wiring kit is made specifically for your FORD RANGER. The operation of this 13-pin electrical kit is very simple: It is detected by the data bus system in your FORD RANGER and is ready for operation after the vehicle has been coded for trailer operation. From now on, the electrical kit will inform you via the car's own system if the trailer lights are faulty.
If possible you can turn off parking assistance of your FORD RANGER with a push on a dashboard button.
It is possible to extend pin 9 of the trailer socket to steady plus (to power electric items in the trailer) or pin 9 to steady plus and pin 10 to charge (e.g. a separate battery in the trailer). By adding the extension set 107650 you can combine charging and steady plus.
