This 13 pin TowTec wiring kit is made specifically for your VOLVO C40. This 13-pin electrical kit connects to the existing data bus system in your VOLVO C40 . Faulty trailer lights will be indicated by the car's own system. Attention! The vehicle does not require coding with this electrical kit.
You could even turn off the parking assistance of your VOLVO C40 with a push on a dashboard button. This electrical kit is installed in the boot only. A continuous current connection (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit must be available in the rear of the car. No need to drill into the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet already exists on your VOLVO C40 . It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin electrical kit.
Extend pin 9 of the trailer socket to steady plus to power electric items in the trailer with the 107650 with steady-plus function. Or you can use pin 9 for steady plus and pin 10 to charge a second battery in the trailer. A combinet retrofit solution for steady plus and charge 139243 is available separately.
