This 13-pin electrical kit is connected to the existing data bus system of the VOLVO S40 II. The car system will signal a fault in the trailer lighting. Attention! Coding is no longer necessary with this electrical kit.

You could even turn off the parking assistance of your VOLVO S40 II with a push on a dashboard button. Included in this kit: high-quality, vehicle-specific colour-coded plug connectors, custom cable lengths and a detailed VOLVO S40 II installation manual. This electrical kit is installed in the boot only. A continuous current connection (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit must be available in the rear of the vehicle. No need to drill into the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet already exists on your VOLVO S40 II . It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin electrical kit. The manufacturer TowTec specifies an installation time of 0.5 hour(s) for this 13 pin wire kit. We have found that it is better to foresee 1.5 hours for installation.

Extend pin 9 of the trailer socket to steady plus to power electric items in the trailer with the 107650 with steady-plus function. Or you can use pin 9 for steady plus and pin 10 to charge a second battery in the trailer. A combinet retrofit solution for steady plus and charge 139243 is available separately.
