This 13 pin electric wiring kit from TowTec is made specifically for your VOLVO S40 II . This 13-pin electrical kit is easily integrated into the existing data bus system of your VOLVO S40 II. If the trailer lights are damaged, the car's own system will signal the fault. Manual coding is not required with this electrical kit.

If possible you can turn off parking assistance of your VOLVO S40 II with a push on a dashboard button. Included in this kit: high-quality, vehicle-specific colour-coded plug connectors, custom cable lengths and a detailed VOLVO S40 II installation manual. This electrical kit is installed in the boot only. A continuous current connection (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit must be available in the rear of the car. No drilling in the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet is already present on your VOLVO S40 II. It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin wiring kit. TowTec specifies an intallation time of 0.5 hour(s) for this 13 pin wiring kit. We know from experience that it is better to foresee 1.5 hour(s).

It is possible to extend pin 9 of the trailer socket to steady plus (to power electric items in the trailer) or pin 9 to steady plus and pin 10 to charge (e.g. a separate battery in the trailer). By adding the extension set 107650 you can combine charging and steady plus.
