  • If coding is possible, however, there is the option to switch the electrical set to active mode at the touch of a button and then to code it so that the assistance systems are automatically switched off during towbar operation.

This 13 pin TowTec wiring kit is made specifically for your VW PASSAT B8. This 13-pin electrical kit is easily integrated into the existing data bus system of your VW PASSAT B8. If the trailer lights are damaged, the car's own system will signal the fault. Manual coding is not required with this electrical kit.

You could even turn off the parking assistance of your VW PASSAT B8 with a push on a dashboard button. Included in this kit: high-quality, vehicle-specific colour-coded plug connectors, custom cable lengths and a detailed VW PASSAT B8 installation manual. No drilling in the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet is already present on your VW PASSAT B8. It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin wiring kit.

The trailer socket is already connected with pin 9 to the permanent positive current function. It is possible to extend pin 10 with accessory 139243 to charge the trailer battery.
