This 13 pin TowTec wiring kit is made specifically for your MERCEDES-BENZ VITO Van. The operation of this 13-pin electrical kit is very simple: It is detected by the data bus system in your MERCEDES-BENZ VITO Van and is ready for operation after the vehicle has been coded for trailer operation. From now on, the electrical kit will inform you via the car's own system if the trailer lights are faulty.
The automatic deactivation of the parking assist function is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module kit. High-quality, vehicle-specific plug connectors, colour coding, custom cable lengths and a detailed VITO Van VITO Van installation manual are all part of this wiring kit. No drilling in the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet is already present on your MERCEDES-BENZ VITO Van. It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin wiring kit.
It is possible to extend pin 9 of the trailer socket to steady plus (to power electric items in the trailer) or pin 9 to steady plus and pin 10 to charge (e.g. a separate battery in the trailer) by adding the extension set 107650. A combinet retrofit solution for steady plus and charge 139243 is available separately.
