This 13 pin Trail-Tec wiring kit is made specifically for your MERCEDES-BENZ CLC-CLASS. This 13-pin electrical kit connects to the existing data bus system in your MERCEDES-BENZ CLC-CLASS . Faulty trailer lights will be indicated by the car's own system. After installation of this electrical kit, the car needs to be coded for trailer use.
The automatic deactivation of the parking assist function is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module kit. Included in this kit: high-quality, vehicle-specific colour-coded plug connectors, custom cable lengths and a detailed MERCEDES-BENZ CLC-CLASS installation manual. This electrical kit is installed in the boot only. A continuous current connection (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit must be available in the rear of the vehicle. No need to drill into the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet already exists on your MERCEDES-BENZ CLC-CLASS . It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin electrical kit. It's not required to connect each cable to a trailer socket. A socket is already connected with this kit.
It is possible to extend pin 9 of the trailer socket to steady plus (to power electric items in the trailer) or pin 9 to steady plus and pin 10 to charge (e.g. a separate battery in the trailer) by adding the extension set 107650. A combinet retrofit solution for steady plus and charge 139243 is available separately.
Installation instructions are given here in different languages and, depending upon the product, complementary installation help and additional images which make the installation or attachment of the product easier for you.
