After the 13-pin electrical kit is integrated in the data bus system of your MERCEDES-BENZ M-CLASS, it reliably signals faulty trailer lights through the car's own system. The vehicle must be configured for trailer operation after the electrical kit has been installed.
An automatic deactivation of the parking assist function of your MERCEDES-BENZ M-CLASS is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module electrical kit. High-quality, vehicle-specific plug connectors, colour coding, custom cable lengths and a detailed M-CLASS M-CLASS installation manual are all part of this wiring kit. The installation of this electrical kit takes place in the boot only. Prerequisite for continuous current (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit is available in the rear of the vehicle. No drilling in the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet is already present on your MERCEDES-BENZ M-CLASS. It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin wiring kit. It's not required to connect each cable to a trailer socket. A socket is already connected with this kit.
In some countries it is not allowed to use a bicycle carrier with this towbar because there is no option to automatically turn off the fog lights.
Extend pin 9 of the trailer socket to steady plus to power electric items in the trailer with the 107650 with steady-plus function. Or you can use pin 9 for steady plus and pin 10 to charge a second battery in the trailer. A combinet retrofit solution for steady plus and charge 139243 is available separately.
