This 13 pin TowTec wiring kit is made specifically for your BMW 3 Convertible. This 13-pin electrical kit connects to the existing data bus system in your BMW 3 Convertible . Faulty trailer lights will be indicated by the car's own system. After installation of this electrical kit, the car needs to be coded for trailer use.
An automatic deactivation of the parking assist function of your BMW 3 Convertible is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module electrical kit. The socket of the electrical kit is already connected. It is therefore not required to connect each cable to the trailer socket.
The socket is connected with pin 9 to the steady plus. Extend pin 10 with accessory 139243 to charge a battery in your trailer.
