This 13 pole wiring kit from Erich Jaeger is supplied vehicle-specific for your vehicle. This 13 pole wiring kit is integrated into the existing data bus system of your vehicle . Defective trailer lighting is indicated by the vehicle's own systems. Once the wiring kit has been installed, the vehicle must be coded for trailer operation.

The factory-fitted parking aid on the vehicle is automatically deactivated by this 13 pole data bus wiring kit. Your vehicle already has a cable feed-through, which is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pole wiring kit. This eliminates the need to drill into the rear panel of the vehicle. Erich Jaeger specifies an installation time of 1 hour(s) for this 13 pin kit. We have found that it is better to foresee 2 hour(s). It's not required to connect the cables to a trailer socket. A socket is already connected with this kit.

It is possible to extend pin 9 of the trailer socket to steady plus (to power electric items in the trailer) or pin 9 to steady plus and pin 10 to charge (e.g. a separate battery in the trailer). By adding the extension set 107650 you can combine charging and steady plus.
