Are you looking for a universal electrical kit suitable for your MERCEDES-BENZ SL? Then this 13-pin electrical kit from TowTec is the right one.

The parking assistance feature can be automatically shut down when the trailer is coupled to the towbar. For this function you need this additional accessory: 171084. The manufacturer TowTec specifies an installation time of 1 hour(s) for this 13 pin wire kit. We have found that it is better to foresee 1 hours for installation. It's not required to connect each cable to a trailer socket. A socket is already connected with this kit.

To automatically turn off the rear fog lamp(s) of your MERCEDES-BENZ SL, accessory 171084 can be used. If a self-actuating shut-off of the rear fog lamp(s) is not possible, a bicycle carrier cannot be installed in some countries.

It is possible to extend pin 9 of the trailer socket to steady plus (to power electric items in the trailer) or pin 9 to steady plus and pin 10 to charge (e.g. a separate battery in the trailer) by adding the extension set 107650. A combinet retrofit solution for steady plus and charge 139243 is available separately.
