If your car has a parking assistance feature it can be automatically shut down when the trailer is coupled to the towbar. For this function you need this optional item: 171084. TowTec specifies an intallation time of 1 hour(s) for this 13 pin wiring kit. We know from experience that it is better to foresee 1 hour(s). It's not required to connect the cables to a trailer socket. A socket is already connected with this kit.

To automatically switch off the rear fog lamp(s) of your VW TIGUAN ALLSPACE , you can use this accessory: 171084. in Iome countries this accessory is required as the use of a bicycle carrier is not permitted if automatic switching off of the rear fog lamp(s) is not supported.

It is possible to extend pin 9 of the trailer socket to steady plus (to power electric items in the trailer) or pin 9 to steady plus and pin 10 to charge (e.g. a separate battery in the trailer) by adding the extension set 107650. A combinet retrofit solution for steady plus and charge 139243 is available separately.
