This 13 pin TowTec wiring kit is made specifically for your DS DS 3. The operation of this 13-pin electrical kit is very simple: It is detected by the data bus system in your DS DS 3 and is ready for operation after the vehicle has been coded for trailer operation. From now on, the electrical kit will inform you via the car's own system if the trailer lights are faulty.
A shutdown of the factory-installed parking assist function of your DS DS 3 is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module electrical kit. Included in this kit: high-quality, vehicle-specific colour-coded plug connectors, custom cable lengths and a detailed DS DS 3 installation manual. No need to drill into the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet already exists on your DS DS 3 . It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin electrical kit.
To automatically switch off the rear fog lamp(s) of your DS DS 3 when a trailer or bicycle carrier is installed, you can use this accessory: 122653. This your vehicle is equipped with two rear fog lamps, accessory 122653 is required 2 times. This accessory is required because in some countries the use of a bicycle carrier is not permitted if automatic switching off of the rear fog lamp(s) is not supported.
The trailer socket is already connected with pin 9 to the permanent positive current function. It is possible to extend pin 10 with accessory 139243 to charge the trailer battery.
