Product details

This 13 pole wiring kit from TowTec is supplied vehicle-specific for your vehicle. This 13 pole wiring kit is integrated into the existing data bus system of your vehicle . Defective trailer lighting is indicated by the vehicle's own systems. Attention! No coding of the vehicle is necessary for this wiring kit.

Our tip! If available, you can switch off your vehicle's parking aid in the dashboard area via a button when towing a trailer. This electrical kit is installed in the boot only. A continuous current connection (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit must be available in the rear of the vehicle. Your vehicle already has a cable feed-through, which is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pole wiring kit. This eliminates the need to drill into the rear panel of the vehicle.

It is possible to extend pin 9 of the trailer socket to steady plus (to power electric items in the trailer) or pin 9 to steady plus and pin 10 to charge (e.g. a separate battery in the trailer) by adding the extension set 107650. A combinet retrofit solution for steady plus and charge 139243 is available separately.
