Is a towbar required?

Many customers already have a towbar and come to rameder.eu because they still need a suitable bicycle carrier. If you don't have a towbar yet, you can order your new towbar and the matching bicycle carrier from Rameder quickly and cheaply.

Can I attach a bicycle carrier to any towbar?

Yes, bicycle carriers can be attached to all towbars available from Rameder. Even for hybrid or electric vehicles, special bicycle carriers with specific fitting systems for the towbar are available. However, we recommend not to use bicycle carriers with a removable hand and lever system, as the ball head mount of the towbars can wear away considerably. This is not dangerous in itself, but sometimes makes an unpleasant grinding noise.

Can e-bikes be transported?

The e-bike is becoming more and more common in everyday life as well as in the hobby and sports sector. It goes without saying that you will also find a wide range of e-bike carriers in the Rameder range, with which you can transport your valuable electric bike (e-bike) safely and reliably.

An electric bike weighs considerably more than a normal bike, i.e. you should pay attention to the bike carrier's maximum payload when loading it (see also "What does payload mean?"). The number of bikes does not refer to electric bikes.

What does payload mean?

The payload defines the maximum loading weight of the bicycle carrier. When transporting the bicycles, please also take into account the vertical load of your towbar. This should not be exceeded under any circumstances. The vertical load defines the maximum weight which may act from above on the ball head of the towbar.
