Product details

The 13 pole TowTec wiring kit is supplied specifically for your vehicle. This 13 pole wiring kit is simply installed into your vehicle's existing data bus system. If the trailer lighting is damaged, this is indicated via the vehicle's internal system. Manual coding is not required with this wiring kit.

Extra tip from us: If you wish, you can switch off the parking aid from the dashboard of your vehicle using a button when towing a trailer. High-quality, vehicle-specific plug connections, adapted cable lengths and colors as well as detailed installation instructions are the hallmarks of this wiring kit. This electrical kit is installed in the boot only. A continuous current connection (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit must be available in the rear of the car. Your vehicle already has a cable feed-through, which is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pole wiring kit. This eliminates the need to drill into the rear panel of the vehicle. The socket of the electrical kit is already connected. It is therefore not required to connect each cable to the trailer socket.

In some countries it is not allowed to use a bicycle carrier with this towbar because there is no option to automatically turn off the fog lights.

It is possible to extend pin 9 of the trailer socket to steady plus (to power electric items in the trailer) or pin 9 to steady plus and pin 10 to charge (e.g. a separate battery in the trailer) by adding the extension set 107650. A combinet retrofit solution for steady plus and charge 139243 is available separately.
